JOB DESCRIPTION

Your job is to work as part of the team in the kitchen, producing high-quality menu items under the direction of the chef. With positions ranging from dishwasher to sous chef, we are looking for talented individuals that thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will prep, cook and season all food according to the recipe; control food production; maintain a clean station and adhere to all kitchen maintenance and sanitation standards; have an up-to-date knowledge of the menu (including preparation, seasoning, ingredients and plate presentation); follow proper methods for preparing and cooking food; and more. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be familiar with all phases of food preparation and related techniques. You must be able to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting up to 100 lbs, able to stand and walk for periods of up to 8 hours, able to work in a hot environment and/or close-quarters). Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must be able to uphold company standards related to appearance and dress. 

To apply as a prep or line cook, you must have one year prior experience in a kitchen.
 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Mobility and dexterity to move large, heavy objects up to 100 lbs. Manual dexterity to include using kitchen utensils and handling food items. Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing, and be able to withstand a hot and/or close environment. Must be able to work at a fast pace, and to respond to visual and oral cues.
